Mickel Motorsport Limited aligns itself with a top female racing driver to establish a unique marketing strategy in preparation for 2011.
John Mickel, Director of Horsham based Mickel Motorsport Limited has signed up Jess Gwynne, the only female participant in the awe inspiring UK CPC Legends Championship, for the remainder of the 2010 season, with a view to using the last seven rounds of the Championship to establish a permanent sponsor in the corporate female sector.
“Within our hospitality environment, we create a unique opportunity for Business to Business interaction.” said John, “We see that there is a huge potential for a corporate business in the female sector to become involved with our team. Jess is only 18 and shows huge potential, having gained so much experience and taking many podiums in the British Junior Rally Cross Championship and was also awarded the Legends Star Rookie of the day at Brands Hatch earlier in the season.”
Jess Gwynne said ”'Racing in the Legends is gaining me greater experience in my racing career. John has been my mentor so far this year and he has been doing a fantastic job. I think joining Mickel Motorsport Limited will provide me with great support and experience both on an off the track and it will be great to be part of the team'
Ian Gwynne, Father and Manager said "John has been very helpful advising Jess this year as she is a new comer into this series and as one of the youngest in the Championship she has the least experience. During recent conversation trackside, it became apparent that Jess would fit into future plans with Mickel Motorsport Limited. I feel that this will also provide Jess with a great opportunity to move forward and give her valuable experience and a chance to learn even more and build on her existing talent.”
Jess will be running with Mickel Motorsport Limited for this upcoming double header at Pembrey in South Wales and the remaining five rounds of the Championship for 2010 and she will continue to run her current sponsors BGMsport Ltd and Piloti
